The Story Behind Mafhuwa Travels
Mafhuwa Emmanuel Unarine was born and raised in Lwamondo, Tshifulanani, a rural village in Limpopo. Raised by his late single mother, Makhado Takalani Minah, he grew up with limited resources and few opportunities to travel — an experience that sparked his passion for making travel accessible to everyone.
He matriculated in 2021 with a Bachelor Pass and earned admission to the University of Venda, where he is currently studying a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Microbiology.
In 2025, Mafhuwa founded Mafhuwa Travels and Tours to turn that passion into purpose. Starting this business from the ground up required creativity, strategy, and resilience. Today, Mafhuwa Travels and Tours is a fully registered company experiencing rapid growth, with 40+ contracted Brand Ambassadors, the majority of whom are students at the University of Venda.
As Founder & CEO, Mafhuwa leads a travel agency focused on one mission: making travel easy and affordable for all.
